Facebook New Timeline with Movie-Making App

This week Facebook has launched a new application called Timeline Movie Maker, which turns all of the content from your Timeline into, you guessed it, a fancy little movie just for you.

It whizzes through the years of your life, showing you a selection of videos, updates, photos, posts from others and changes in education and profession. Once you've watched it you can then play around with the soundtrack, replace some photos with others you prefer and make a different movie.

It may make a sweet little video, but you do need to have the Timeline activated to see it. This makes a person wonder whether it's a way for Facebook to get reluctant users to switch other more willingly. Or maybe we're just being too cynical...

Watch your own little life movie now at timelinemoviemaker.com.

Mozilla Firefox 10 Out Now for Download, Says Most Add-ons Now Compatible with Future Versions of Firefox

Mozilla has released yet another version of its open-source web browser Firefox as part of its rapid-release program in which the browser is being updated frequently to bring new features for end-users and developers more quickly. The latest version to date, Firefox 10, has at least 4 new features – one of which would really interest most if not all end-users. By default, “most add-ons are now compatible with new versions of Firefox” which means users won’t hold themselves off anymore from upgrading to any available latest version of Firefox until they’re certain the extensions they are using are 100% compatible with such new version.Other new features of Firefox 10 include:

  • The forward button is now hidden until you navigate back
  • Anti-Aliasing for WebGL is now implemented
  • CSS3 3D-Transforms are now supported

Other enhancements involve those for HTML5 like the full screen API feature that basically allows web developers to build games, interactive videos, and other apps that run on full screen. Developers would also love to see the Inspect tool brought to Firefox 10 with style sheet inspector feature that works similar to the popular Firebug extension.
